The Ruby Bridges Foundation was created to support integration, not segregation. It is a reflection of her bravery and fight to end segregation in schools and society. Without Ruby Bridges, education would be different today. Schools could possibly be segregated and future generations might live in a world with no diversity. The people that are standing before you might have been in a different school, economy, or even in a different family. Although Ruby Bridges wasn't the only one who changed the rules for equal treatment. Ruby did what the other girls did not do by having the courage and faith to walk into that school. Her faith was unstoppable and would contribute to ending segregation in education. That is not the end of her story, she is carrying on the fight against racism and supports equal treatment for everyone through her foundation. The Ruby Bridges Foundation is the legacy of the well-known story of Ruby Bridges, the 6 year girl who changed society and education by walking up those stairs one step at a time.
